Accounts Manager

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Bank activity: handle daily deposits and buy change
  • Provide bookkeeping services for Hungry Moose LLC, Condos and Housing LLC and Town Center Building LLC.
  • Hungry Moose LLC  (mountain and town center stores)- upload invoices to Hubdoc, assign a chart of account and location in Bill.com and issue payment.
  • Prepare monthly house account statements and investigate any account discrepancies. 
  • Reconcile all items in Xero monthly and provide month end reports.
  • Review vendor statements to ensure all accounts are current.
  • Pay resort tax monthly.
  • Condos and Housing LLC, pay all association dues, property taxes, insurance and unit improvements and repairs. All payments should be automated in Bill pay.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements in order to remain in good standing, yearly department of revenue reports. 
  • Register business licenses annually.
  • Handle insurance policies (Workman's compensation, general liability, and insurance for all owned condos).
  • Pay out cash tips for town center staff bi-weekly.
  • Categorize monthly American Express charges from multiple employee cards
  • Scrutinize discretionary spending , for example, a HM donation.
  • Pay rents to our leased spaces (office +central kitchen, resort) and our leased employee housing units (2 units).
  • Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets in conjunction with the GM.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.For example the Resort Tax board.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Strives to constantly improve accounting procedures

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent self management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with accounting processes and procedures, in the retail business environment.
  • Familiarity with Xero, Hubdoc and Bill.com is a plus

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred but not required.
  • Three years or more of related experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
